This could be big for Clearwire. They’re going to discuss their quarterly results on March 5. Whoopee, right? Well, in addition to that, they’ll be announcing the next markets they will enter. That’s big news, considering it’s relatively microscopic footprint right now. Chicago could well be on the list, and MuniWireless bets on Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Vegas, and Dallas for some others. However, things might not be moving as quick as expected. At WiMax.com there’s a report that Clearwire will have to bridge a $2 billion funding gap if they want to stick to their goal of covering half the U.S. population by the end of 2010.
